Tips for High School Formals, Homecoming and Prom Limousine Service in San Diego

Prom Night is a very special evening for San Diego’s High School Seniors, as it is with Winter Formals and Homecoming Dances when most of San Diego's limousines, limo buses, stretched SUV's, Hummers, and Escalades are booked. With this in mind, Skye Limousine would like to offer teens and parents some helpful information when searching for a safe and fun way to get to the big event.

How much will it cost to hire a limousine on Prom Night?

Prices vary, so it's a good idea to shop a few local companies before you make your decision and book. It is typical for companies to raise their rates for Prom. Skye Limousine charges the same rate year round in each of its vehicles. Most companies will require a minimum number of hours to book a vehicle. For Prom, this is normally 6 to 7 hours.

When should I reserve a limousine for Proms or Formals?

Prom Night is one of the busiest in the limo industry. Just about every limousine in San Diego County will be booked and on the road. Most of these limousines are rented 45 or more days in advance. Each year, hundeds of teens go without a limo because they are sold out. If you find yourself in this position, call us a day or two before your prom and we will check our fleet and many others in San Diego for last minute cancellations.

How do I know I'm getting a Safe and Dependable Chauffeur and Vehicle?

As Parents, we want what's best for our children. Make sure the limo company you hire performs background checks and drug testing on their chauffeurs and employees. Check with the Public Utilities Commission to confirm that the company is properly licensed and insured to operate. For added safety, Skye Limousine requires all teen parents to authorize when and where the limo will go as well as who is allowed to be in the vehicle. Only the names of those authorized will be permitted in the limo. Additionally, parents and teens are asked to sign a Minors and Alcoholic Beverages Statement – the Leslie Bill, required by California State Law, in which both the student and limousine service promise a drug and alcohol free evening.

Cancellation Policy: All reservations require a 50% deposit of the total amount of the booking which is non-refundable in the event of any cancellation. If a customer cancels a reservation within 72 hours of the date and time of the scheduled service, the customer will be responsible for full payment of the scheduled service.
